The Impact

The Impact

Simply put, this will save tens of thousands of litres of water, minimise land fill and save electricity.
There is also a massive cost saving to the tenant under the ‘user pay’ system.
Achievements (late 2009) 6 million litres of water saving since `Goes Green’s` inception.

Additional Impact

We see this as a marketing tool for future tenants who will be attracted to `Goes Green` properties, saving them money and the environment. We will market `Goes Green` homes on the web, on our rental list and wherever else we advertise properties for rent. Landlords will also be attracted to this service.

Future Impact

We hope the real estate industry will take on the Goes Green initiative and for it to become a standard practise in which the Goes Green checklist is added to all Condition Reports.
The aim is for our industry to have a significant and positive impact on our environment.
To date the REIV, Department of Sustainability and some Real Estate business’s have shown interest.
